[1] In Luke 24, there are two people that were going to a village with the name of Emmaus, seven miles from Jerusalem. That were talking about what had taken place. It is written that while they were discussing it, Jesus himself approached, and began traveling with them. But their eyes were prevented from recognizing him. He said to them "What are these words that you are exchanging with one another as you are walking? They stood still, looking sad.
One of them named Cleopas, said 'Are you the only one visiting Jerusalem and unaware of the things that have happened here in these days?'. He replied, 'What things?'. And they said to him, 'The things about Jesus the Nazarene, who was a prophet mighty in deed and word in the sight of God and all the people'.
How the chief priests and rulers delivered him up to the sentence of death and crucified him. 'But we were hoping that it was he who was going to redeem Israel. Indeed, besides all this, it is the third day since these things happened. 'But also some women among us amazed us'.
Jesus responded to them 'O foolish men and slow of heart to believe in all that the prophets have spoken!. 'Was it not necessary for the Christ to suffer these things and to enter into his glory? Beginning with Moses and all of the prophets. Did Jesus really say that, or is it another Jesus myth? Has we know the scripture delivered a message from Jesus and it is called the 'Third Watch' prophecy. That prophecy relates to the last days of the end times, and the third wave that arrived in the 20th century.
It is written that after he sat at the table with them, took the bread, blessed it, and breaking it. He began giving it to them and then their eyes were opened, and they recognized him. He then vanished from their sight. After that they joined the others because they knew that he exists. However, has we know it was not a happy ending.
This chapter in Luke mentions the three days, and the redemption of Israel. There is no mention of a crucifixion in the prophecies of the Jewish prophets. Many Christians associate Isaiah 53 with the crucifixion and it has been proven time and time again, that Isaiah 53 was not about the one known has Jesus Christ.
The question is why were their eyes prevented from recognizing him?
In Judaism, it is written, 'Might and Righteousness, the destiny of Israel lies in her'. Why HER? Prophet Hosea and many other prophets provided prophecies about the woman that would come. Yet, the eyes of the orthodox Christians are still prevented from recognizing her and who she really is.
Why is that?
