Beast of Burden Donkey

In recent days we shared with you that when I was a baby of two I would stand on the back of a donkey while it was walking along the beach without help. I could also ride horses bareback. There are animal sanctuaries in the UK for the working donkeys. In olden days there were always donkey rides at the local fairs for the children to ride. My own son loved to ride too when he was little. However, his passion was not horses.

It was a couple of years ago now that the Christ said that the USA is the House that Jack Built. It was shown to me today that a donkey is also called a 'Jack'. The word 'ass' is also in common use in the USA.

The Donkey is also known as the 'Beast of Burden' due to being used to carry heavy goods for trading after it was domesticated. Does it remind you of humanity?

The Donkey originated from north eastern Africa 6,000 years ago. In the time of King Tut they would hunt the wild ones. [1] Donkeys are well known for being stubborn and its very hard to get them to move when they do not want to, the same can certainly be said for Americans. However, like most animals, donkeys do seem to like children.

So the message from the Son of God is that the USA was built by a beast of burden, a workhorse that carries goods, trading and consumerism. However, the burdens of consumerism that are put upon the donkey do have an adverse impact on the donkey itself.

In the old testament the donkey like other animals was viewed as a symbol of wealth. Just like rich arabs value their camels and horses today.  However, the donkey progressed into being an animal that only the poor could own and ride, for those that rode the donkey it became a symbol of those that moved beyond materialism.  In other words they were humble in their way of life. There is a big difference between the beast of burden due to wealth and the humble donkey that carries a small child on its back.

In the time of St Francis of Assisi he also rode a donkey as a sign of his shedding of his wealth and the materialism that he was born into. Hence, why Mother Mary was depicted on a donkey as well. When a person is riding a donkey it can also express and be symbolic of their state of being beyond being a beast of burden. In other words they're an asset to humanity and not a liability.

In Hindu mythology the donkey is also a vehicle for God, just like the lamb is symbolic of the soul. In 2007, the Christ also told a Muslim to watch the film 'Pinocchio'. It is written that in the film, the naughty boys are turned into donkeys and sold off for hard labour. In other words sold into the slavery of consumerism due to their own words, deeds, and actions. Whoever would've known that the story of Pinocchio is expressing the dharma of the spiritual law of co-creation due to cause and effect.

However, Islam is not too fond of donkeys, the word for donkey in Arabic is a derogatory term for a person that is only fit to be used by those that are more wealthy. In Greek it is also used to describe a person who is very rude and bad mannered, in other words those that could be considered to be vulgar in their way of life and state of being.

Certainly, some of the poor view the way that the wealthy spend money like water is simply pouring it down a drain of consumerism that is destroying the planet instead of helping to raise it up. No surprise then that a lot of Americans have become attached to the word 'dumbass' and the Christ called the USA the house that Jack built. However, he was being polite in his terminology. He wasn't so polite about the Church of the USA.

The donkey is also a symbol of the Democratic Party of the USA. Apparently, it goes back to 1828 when a man called 'Andrew Jackson' was running for President. His slogan, was "Let the people rule." Well the people haven't done a very good job of ruling this planet so far. Its time for people to allow their souls to ride the donkey and in so doing receive the help from the Spirit of God. JFK was also a democrat and there is an important message there for Americans about the Kennedy family. Its wealth consumerism and where it was coming from.

While writing this post, I have come across an interesting piece of information to do with Israel and the donkey.

"In contemporary Israel, the term "Messiah's Donkey" (Chamoro Shel Mashiach חמורו של משיח) stands at the center of a controversial religious-political doctrine, attributed to Rabbi Avraham Yitchak Hacohen Cook, under which it was the Heavenly-imposed "task" of secular Zionists to build up a Jewish State, but once the state is established they are fated to give place to the Religious who are ordained to lead the state. The secularists in this analogy are "The Donkey" while the religious who are fated to supplant them are a collective "Messiach". A book on the subject, published in 1998 by the militant secularist Sefi Rechlevsky, aroused a major controversy in the Israeli public opinion."[3]

Well the Haredi are certainly in for a few shocks because they will not be riding the secularists with their orthodoxy, no matter how much they stand against Israel. The Haredi have certainly been a beast of burden for Israel and its children. Not much as changed in the last 2,000 years as it, the orthodox religious leaders still put burdens upon the backs of the people. Best they read the prophecy in Joel 3 and how their deeds against Israel will fall upon their own heads. The same for orthodoxy in Islam and Christianity as well. The 9th of September 2007, was the beginning of the end of control and domination of the people by the religious orthodox, in all its shapes and forms.

Another interesting aspect is that the Dead Sea Scrolls scholar Geza Vermes wrote how there is a well-known anecdote preserved in the Talmud of how those in Jerusalem ridiculed the Northern Galilean Aramaic speech. Apparently, the word for donkey sounds the same as wine and lamb in Aramaic spoken at that time.

"You stupid Galilean, do you want something to ride on (a donkey = hamar)? Or something to drink (wine = hamar)? Or something for clothing (wool = amar)? Or something for sacrifice? (lamb=immar)?". [4]

Would you ride a lamb? The lamb is symbolic of a tender hearted soul and people don't ride lambs, although it has been known that some men have been forced to marry goats instead of become a bride of the Spirit. Also God did not ask for sacrifice he asked for mercy.

Would you ride the wine?

No, you drink it, if you like the taste of it.

Red wine is good for you in moderation.

Cheers!
