He will be welcomed by a female priest at Westminster Abbey and in July the Vatican stated that the ordination of women was a 'crime against the faith'. [1] Some are predicting large protests and it will be interesting to see what transpires. Most people are not interested in the Pope in England.
Its time that someone told the Pope that his time as come to an end. At the same time Christchurch (NZ) is hit with a 7.1 earthquake. You may remember that recently I had a dream and was told that the cities will be destroyed. [3]Surely, that must include Rome and the Vatican.
Apparently, on the 5th of November some English people burn an effigy of the Pope on bonfire night. It is an old tradition still carried out in the beautiful country town of Lewes. [4] In the past they have also included effigies of the local priest and most recently the BBC. Do all Catholics around the world go on the rampage like Muslims do after the burning? Not likely!
What and who will they include this November 5th one wonders.
NO POPERY LOL
We will update this post with any further developments.
Thousands of tickets remain unsold for events during the
visit of the Pope, who arrives in Scotland on Thursday.
The largest organised event is an open-air Mass at Bellahouston
Park in Glasgow on the opening day of Pope Benedict XVI's trip
to the UK. [5]
