Twinkling of an Eye...

This is a beautiful biblical prophecy about the last days. Listen, I tell you a mystery: We will not all sleep, but we will all be changed—in a flash, in the twinkling of an eye, at the last trumpet. For the trumpet will sound, the dead will be raised imperishable, and we will be changed. For the perishable must clothe itself with the imperishable, and the mortal with immortality. 1 Corinthians 15:51-53

IMMORTALITY

In the way of righteousness there is life; along that path is immortality. Proverbs 12:28 This verse is talking about the spiritual pathway home to God. To those who by persistence in doing good seek glory, honor and immortality, he will give eternal life. Romans 2:7 In this context one that understands the immortality of the soul is with God eternally; in other words never again are they estranged from God and the Kingdom of God.

The original passage mentions the 'eye' and the eye is to do with how people view reality. Do they truly understand how the stars and the sun are part of their being? People only come to understand this when they do what the Christ said and that was to seek within. He made this very clear when he said "The Kingdom of God is within YOU". Yet orthodox Christians simply refuse to accept this incredible teaching that is the foundation all of the true Christ teachings.

World views determine realities and physical reality is the barometer of balance -v- imbalance; this is now being proven by new science. In the next part of the passage about the great change it is also connected with the law.

POWER OF SIN IS THE LAW

"When the perishable has been clothed with the imperishable, and the mortal with immortality, then the saying that is written will come true: "Death has been swallowed up in victory." "Where, O death, is your victory? Where, O death, is your sting?" The sting of death is sin, and the power of sin is the law."


The early Church fathers did not understand the spiritual law and St Jerome who compiled and translated the 3rd version of the cannon wrote "For "the law is spiritual" and a revelation is needed to enable us to comprehend it and, when God uncovers His face, to behold His glory."

God did uncover his face to the interpreter of his law exactly as was predicted that he would in the Torah. God kept his promise to Moses.

"When the perishable has been clothed with the imperishable" This relates to when the soul is purified it is then clothed in purity, it is then ready for the bridal chamber and for the pure soul to merge with the perfect Spirit. How do I know this? Due to experience and experience counts.

THE TIMING

But in the days when the seventh angel is about to sound his trumpet, the mystery of God will be accomplished, just as he announced to his servants the prophets."Revelation 10:7 The seventh angel sounded his trumpet, and there were loud voices in heaven, which said: "The kingdom of the world has become the kingdom of our Lord and of his Christ, and he will reign for ever and ever." Revelation 11:15

The word in the Greek for Lord is Kurios Strongs 2962 and the passage says "Our Lord and of his Christ" The word for Christ in Greek is Christos and it means anointed. Strongs 5547.

Twinkling of an eye is another criteria to the prophecy and the Christ told his followers that the eye is the lamp of the body. When you look into a persons eyes you can tell if they are full of light or whether there is darkness in the soul. In Matthew chapter 13 there is also another prediction that at the end of the age his angels would bring the new treasures. These angels have been instructed directly about the Kingdom of Heaven and they are teachers of the spiritual law.

"Therefore every teacher of the law who has been instructed about the kingdom of heaven is like the owner of a house who brings out of his storeroom new treasures as well as old." Matt 13:52

Another part of the prophecy is the "Dead will be raised" and this is talking about the spiritually dead and it is referring to those that have not begun to walk the spiritual path home to God. In the Dead Sea Scrolls they are called the "Sons of Darkness".

Its also interesting that the passage says "Will be raised" and the name Eliakim means "God will raise UP".
