I love elephants and defend animal rights. However, I could never defend anyone spending $880,000 for a plane ride for an elephant, while there are children starving in the world and in America. [1] Bob Barker, from American TV, is spending his money to help the aged elephants move to a paradise for elephants in California. Now we know that people are fleeing California, and many are well aware that it is nearing a time for a major earthquake on that coastline.
So what sense does it make to spend all that money on a plane ride for the elephants during this huge environmental transition that the planet is in? Absolutely none.
Would the LORD God or his Son approve of such expenditure?
Certainly not.
If you had to choose between the life of a child, and the life of an elephant, what would you choose? Those are the kind of questions that people have to ask themselves today.
