SHARING FROM OUR HEARTS.....

When we had a big house, we invited all the waifs and strays to our home for Christmas and New Year. It was the best Christmas and New Year of All.

Each day different people would arrive, (ten each day for lunch) each bringing their own gifts, presence, love and jokes. My son was the only child and he loved entertaining everyone with his jokes.

The food was plentiful because we all shared. We all brought something to the table. One person brought the meat, another the cheese board, another the fruit.

I had cooked and prepared in advance to ensure that everyone had a choice of starters, main courses and as we call them in England 'sweets' or 'puddings'.

Oh I so miss those days when we shared with so many, that lived in their hearts.

As the days progressed the choice diminished to what was left.

Blessed days of the beloved...
