Galatians 4 was brought to my attention this evening and it's an interesting text.
"These things are being taken figuratively: The women represent two covenants. One covenant is from Mount Sinai and bears children who are to be slaves: This is Hagar. Now Hagar stands for Mount Sinai in Arabia and corresponds to the present city of Jerusalem because she is in slavery with her children. But the Jerusalem that is above is free, and she is our mother."
“Get rid of the slave woman and her son, for the slave woman’s son will never share in the inheritance with the free woman’s son.” Therefore, brothers and sisters, we are not children of the slave woman, but of the free woman."
In the Aramaic text it is written: For as it is written, Make merry O you barren who bear not, rejoice and cry, O you who travail not; for the children of the one in disfavor are more numerous than the children of the one that is favored. He that was born of the flesh persecutes he that is born of the Spirit and so it is now.
Islam do not accept that God sent his Son and that the Son has a Father, Abba. As such they deny the children their birthright to become divine and be born of the Spirit as Sons of God. Islam say that they honor the prophets, they do not honor the true prophets of God, nor do they understand the true Christ teachings.
"God sent the Spirit of his Son into our hearts, the Spirit who calls out, “Abba, Father.” So you are no longer a slave, but God’s child; and since you are his child, God has made you also an heir."
How can you know the Spirit of his Son in your hearts? By seeking within for the child within. Inner child healing work is the beginning of finding the child within. As Christ told his followers you must become like a child to enter the Kingdom of Heaven. He was telling them that they must redeem the innocence, purity, joy and wonder of the child that only knows unconditional divine love. Divine love is the food that feeds the soul.
In my experience healing the inner child is the beginning of the ascent of the Tree of Life.
Onwards and upwards
