LORD SAID SIN TAX

I was pondering on going out for sunday lunch at the local pub and the then the LORD started to speak about the 'SIN TAX' and the governments are increasing them. We have had the stealth taxes and now the sin tax that usually impacts mostly on the poor.

Sin taxes impose a levy with the intention of reducing the income of the purchaser. It lowers profits for the seller, and leads to reduced investment, wages and jobs. It has been proven time and time again that sin taxes do not discourage consumption habits. Everyone that lives in the country has to drive a car. Otherwise they cannot get their children to school or shop for food. The bible also speaks of the plundering of the nations for the price of oil and energy, the fire that keeps people warm. When the people cannot afford to heat their homes the elderly die as consequence.

So really a sin tax is a death tax. A person is taxed as soon as they start work, they even tax you on what you have worked for your whole lives and saved for a rainy day. They tax you on your weddings and funerals, your land purchase and property. They even tax you after you are dead in inheritance taxes, and take your properties to pay for care homes, although the people paid all of their working lives for the NHS and its care. What use is it to store up cash if the governments swoop down and take it from you? Including your properties and investments.

The site that shares the legal definition of the sin tax, also state that it encourages people to turn to harder substances to feed their habits at the same price. It creates underground markets, which tend toward corruption and violence, and fosters disrespect for the law. The goods that sin taxes are imposed upon vary from state to state in the USA. However, in the UK and Europe it is usually across the board.

Who has the moral right to tell you what you can and cannot consume? Who has the right to tax you indirectly on what you purchase? What do governments do with the tax revenue? It funds their wars.

The bible tells the governments that they are robbers.

Ever since the time of your ancestors you have turned away from my decrees and not kept them. Return to me and I will return to you says the LORD Almighty. 'But you ask how are we to return? Will a mere mortal rob God? Yet you rob me. “But you ask, ‘How are we robbing you?’ “In tithes and offerings. You are under a curse - your whole nation because you are robbing me. Malachi 3:7-9
