Hedgehog SPINES

When I woke up this morning, I saw a lovely hedgehog before my eyes, and you can see a lot of them in the countryside where I live. Sadly, usually when a car as crushed them. Hedgehog is not good at crossing the road, his habitat wasn't meant for cars. In fact, the whole eco-system of God's creation, wasn't made for cars, it wasn't made for machines.

As we know the hedgehog is a small creature with spikes that are called 'SPINES', and when it senses that it is in danger, it rolls into a ball and rolls away.

It is written that when a hedgehog is under extreme stress or during sickness it can lose spines, and this is called quilling. Human beings can learn a lot about health from observing animals and also how people move. In fact, the European hedgehog experience similar diseases to human beings, e.g. cancer, fatty liver disease, cardiovascular disease.

It is often the way, that humanity lose their spines when they are put under the extreme pressure of oppression, that can come in many forms. Financially, in relationships, in the work place and of course in war zones, where trauma and tragedy become a daily event.

If a person is carrying a heavy weight and responsibility, it can be like carrying the world on your back. If this continues for a long period of time, without practical support, The bone structure can become calcified and the joints become less supple. Calcium and Minerals are removed, due to the additional resource required to transform, and lighten the life pressure upon the mother. Its a catch 22 situation, or to put it another way, a chicken and egg situation.

Spinal fluids are also very important. However, that is no the subject of this post.

Now the long-eared hedgehog is preyed upon by foxes, wolves and mongooses and Abba said MONGOOSE the other day. Please see that post if you have not seen it already.

Hedgehog would rather flee, than face the confrontation ahead, he does not like confrontation at all. He is made for survival and survive he will, no matter what it takes. Amazing, that they have their own anointing ritual, and are naturally immune to the venom of snakes. They can outlive rats and mice, and live anywhere between 4-7 years. Although, it has been known for them to live for up to 16 years in the wild and up to ten years in captivity.

Now 16 years is an interesting number, because I have 16 years left to complete my mission for God, and it certainly will not be done in captivity.

There is a lovely Russian folk tale about the Hedgehog, and interesting that the white horse and elephant appear in it. Its called 'Hedgehog in the Fog'.

See if you can work out who saves the hedgehog?
