100,000 Ash Trees Destroyed

Defra report that there have been 52 cases of the disease. In the last six weeks 100,000 ash trees have been destroyed in the UK. It has been found in 38 different nurseries, plantations and other locations from England to Scotland. Scientists say that the infection in native trees has been caused by spores of a fungus = carried on the wind from mainland Europe.

Don't go to the woods, don't touch the wood.
