I was then compelled to paint a mandala for Rya, in Israel. Rya is an incredible artist that I met in May 2006. Is her name 'RYA' a short form of the name AMARYA? Is it divine providence that the Hebrew name 'Amarya' has the name mary in it? The name 'Amarya', means 'The speech of God'. 'Word of God, God speaks'.
I shall call this mandala for Rya, the 'AMARYA, FIRE ROSE'. The fire rose of Israel.

Also there is a story about the birth of the 'Fire Star Rose'. It tells us that roses do not often grow from seed. However, this 'Fire Star Rose' did grow from the seed that was planted.
